Our Mission
The mission of the JLN Eyes Forward Foundation is to eliminate distracted driving through education, awareness, and community advocacy. In memory of Jamie L. Nickerson, we empower drivers to make the life-saving choice to keep their eyes on the road and their focus on the journey, ensuring every driver, passenger and pedestrian are kept safe.

Education
Education teaches drivers how to change their behavior. This is the "classroom" side of your mission.

The Science of Distraction: Explaining the cognitive effects of "multitasking" and how the brain reacts to phone notifications.

Safe-Driving Tools: Training drivers on how to use "Do Not Disturb" phone settings, hands-free tech (and its limitations), and passenger intervention techniques.
Awareness
Awareness is about keeping the message "top of mind" through visibility. It’s the public-facing heartbeat of the foundation that ensures Jamie’s story continues to save lives.

Community Advocacy
Advocacy is about systemic change. It’s moving beyond the individual and looking at laws, infrastructure, and local policy to make the roads inherently safer.
